Priyanka Chopra shares secret behind ‘namaste’ pose at Miss World 2000

Actor Priyanka Chopra recently attended a concert by her husband, singer Nick Jonas, and his brothers at the O2 Arena in London on Monday, September 16. This is the same venue where Priyanka was crowned Miss World 2000, known as the Millennium Dome at that time. Twenty-four years later, Priyanka was thrilled to be at the same venue with her two-year-old daughter, Malti. She shared her experience on social media, including the story behind her ‘namaste’ pose from when she won the Miss World title in 2000.
“I was crowned Miss World at this arena 24 years ago. It was called the Millennium Dome back then. I’ll never forget my little 18-year-old, excited, nervous, and competitive self, trying to look and be the best I could be. A memory I will never forget from November 30, 2000, is the feeling of balancing on pencil heels with a gorgeous Hemant Trivedi dress that was falling off the entire evening because my body tape would not stay on, as I was sweating so much from nerves,” Priyanka narrated in the caption of her Instagram post.
She continued, “Hence, if you Google the pictures, after I win, I look like I’m doing a namaste in gratitude, but I’m actually desperately trying to keep my dress up. Clearly, I survived and it was all well in the end (sic).”
The 42-year-old actor concluded her post by saying, “To be back here watching my husband and his brothers perform with my daughter, family, and friends is such a full circle. Life has been good. Gratitude.”
The Dil Dhadakne Do actor also shared adorable pictures from the concert, the first one being of her kissing Nick while their daughter shut her eyes with her hands.
Work-wise, Priyanka has resumed shooting for Citadel Season 2. She shared a video of herself reaching the set in her car. She is also awaiting the release of her production venture, Paani, a Marathi film directed by Adinath Kothare.
